Cloze Procedure
A Cloze Procedure is a "fill-in-the-blanks" activity where the learner uses clues from the context to supply words that have been deliberately removed from the text. Responses reveal text comprehension and language mastery skills. Below is an example of a Cloze Procedure using an excerpt from Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day by Judith Viorst.
